Spending 5 days on a guided tour down the Whanganui awa, through the spectacular Whanganui National Park with whānau and friends was a relaxing and amazing haerenga.. Hone our river guide was superb. I appreciated his iwi knowledge, his use of te reo and tikanga, his skill and understanding of the awa, his calm manner and sense of humour .Along with Lulu our river guide and cook ( who was also fabulous), they ensured that we were fed along the way, that we arrived safely at each destination and each evening we were treated to more delicious kai and a lot of laughter. I highly recommend this guided river adventure with Unique Tours as it really is a great experience.
